Our story
Born from a mother's wardrobe. Shaped by a decade of craft.
Before Hues of Geetha had a name, it had a feeling — the rustle of a mother's dupatta pulled from the top shelf, the quiet electricity of draping something beautiful for the first time, the certainty that clothes are never just clothes.
I'm Geetha — and I've been obsessed with beautiful clothes since I was old enough to reach the top shelf of my mother's wardrobe. While other children played with dolls and video games, I was trying on her colourful dupattas and oversized heels, layering combinations no one had asked for, discovering that a single garment could tell a completely different story depending on how you wore it. My mother's vibrant style wasn't just inspiration — it was my first education in colour, draping, and the quiet power of dressing with intention.
That instinct became a calling. I earned a master's degree in fashion communication, then spent over a decade sharpening my eye — studying textiles, building relationships with artisans across India, and learning to speak the language where colour, craft, and identity meet. Hues of Geetha is where all of that comes together: original designs rooted in Indian textile heritage, bold colour palettes that refuse to whisper, and the belief that the right outfit doesn't follow your personality — it announces it.
Colour without compromise.
I see colour the way musicians hear notes — in moods, in contrasts, in harmonies that surprise. Every piece begins with a palette that feels alive.
Originals, not reproductions.
Nearly every design is conceived in-house — silhouettes, combinations, and details that belong to Hues of Geetha and nowhere else.
Fashion is identity.
I don't dress trends. I dress women who already know who they are — and want their wardrobe to say it out loud.
Heritage, reimagined.
India's textile legacy is extraordinary. I honour it by refusing to leave it in the past — restyling, reinterpreting, and making it breathe in the present.
From the founder
"I didn't learn fashion from a textbook. I learned it from my mother's colours."
A master's degree in fashion communication, over a decade of design work, and countless conversations with weavers and artisans brought me here — but the truth is, Hues of Geetha was born the day a little girl realised that a vibrant dupatta could change the way you walk into a room. My mother gave me that first spark. The years since have given me the skill to turn it into something you can wear, feel, and call your own.
